This week on A Sound Effect, we have three new libraries that will give your characters and ambiences a new personality. You’ll hear a friendly droid with its chirps and whistles, an Ambisonic collection of busy crowds and quiet parks, and a huge selection of natural soundscapes from the heart of South America’s Northern Tropics. About The Rupununi region:

Uncharted Territories
Virtually untouched by modern human activity, its nature combines a mixture of savannahs, shrubs, wetlands and forests located in South America. The amerindians inhabit the area for millennia and are in total osmose with their surroundings.

Local myths and legends
In fact the region is soaked with legends and myths, like the famed yet unfound El Dorado city claimed by many explorers like sir Walter Raleigh expeditions in 1592.

Rich Wildlife & Biodiversity
Rupununi bolsters evolving serenades of sounds throughout days and nights due to its incredibly lush eco-systems including thousands of bird species, insects, reptiles and mamals.

The library is available in stereo, and surround (Quad & 5.1).

'Ambisonic Ambiance Collection 1' by Sen6 is an eclectic collection of ambiences from cities, shopping malls, airports, parking lots, residential areas, countrysides, and recreational areas. This library has over 200 minutes of highway rumble, crowds shopping, congregations singing, airplay flybys, heavy construction, birds in a park, restaurant chatter, and more. These soundscapes come from Israel and the Middle East, and they are also available in the Ambisonics format! If you need a variety of ambiences, give this one a listen.

Droid Vocal – Mini Library
