Flysound

Flysound is an independent sound post production team.

Mainly focused at feature film postproduction, we are trying to bring our unique quality and signature into every recording.

We are using A-class equipment such as AATON Cantar X-2, Sounddevices 788T, wide variety of microphones, including Neumanns U87s, Sennheisers MKH416s and others.

    Car Sound Effects VAZ 2101 Play Track 148 sounds included $179

    Explore an impressive collection of sounds from the Soviet VAZ car. In this library you will find the sounds of starting, idling, various accelerations, maneuvers, and braking, Comrade!

    Externally the microphone set-up comprised a Neumann U 87, a Schoeps CMC6/MK4, and a Sennheiser MKH 416. The engine and exhaust were captured by a Neumann U 87 each, and wheel recordings were done by a Sennheiser MKH 416. We also recorded details such as the doors, the horn, switches, windshield wipers, and gear shifts, with a Neumann U 69 deployed to the interior.

  • Car Sound Effects UAZ 315195 Play Track 371 sounds included $259

    A rough, tractor-like rumble of the engine with pronounced low-note vibrations, while on the outside you hear the mealy, rolling sound of a reliable vehicle, especially from a standing start. This is the successor of the legendary UAZ-469, and the engine finds itself sonically as one that aims for the eternal compromise between military reliability and civilian comfort. The sound is rough, with an iron accent, as if the modern system is assembled from the hardy parts of yore.

    To capture the sounds of the UAZ Patriot, a carefully selected set of microphones was used to record all the key details of the vehicle. The engine was recorded with a Neumann U 87, while the exhaust was captured using an Electro Voice 868. Inside the cabin, sounds were recorded with two microphones: a Shure 57 and a Neumann KM 184 for the front section, and a Sennheiser SPM 8000 for the rear area. External pass-by recordings were made with Oktava and Sennheiser MKH-416 microphones, and additional external spot recordings (Spot A) were captured using Neumann U 87 and Sennheiser MKH-416. This comprehensive approach allowed us to create a full and vivid sound portrait of the UAZ Patriot, reflecting its character and dynamics.

  • Car Sound Effects Formula 3 Tatuus FA010 Play Track 133 sounds included $179

    The recording of this powerful fireball of a race car was performed on a specialist chassis dynamometer system to give you the most realistic and immersive sounds possible. The library includes the characteristic roar of the engine, its start, its revving, idling, dynamic acceleration, and spectacular braking at different speeds, as well as the sounds of gear shifting and engine cut-off.

    In our special set-up, we rigged the following microphones to capture the engine, one of each of the following: Electro Voice RE-20, Neumann U 87, Sennheiser MKH 416, Shure SM77, Telefunken M81, and a Violet Design Amethyst Vintage. As for the exhaust system, a Sennheiser MKH 416, Neumann U 87, and Sennheiser SPM 8000 were deployed.

    By recording in what can rightly be called laboratory conditions on the whirring dynamometer, we believe that here in the files are possibly the most faithfully accurate recordings of a race car ever captured for sound industry purposes, getting you as close as never before to a Formula-level racer as it really sounds in performance mode. Vroom vroom!

    The Audi A6 is a sound library filled with powerful and emotive sounds that can captivate you from the first notes. In it we collected aggressive engine starts, the low rumbling exhaust sounds, driving at a variety of speeds, engine idling, and sharp braking with skids and whooshes. Every sound is a harmony of adrenaline and speed, character and power. This is the definitive sound library for the much-loved German modern classic that is the Audi A6. Designed specifically for the film, advertising and gaming industries, multi-channel sync recordings will propel your projects with unique style and dynamic mood.

    In order to achieve this, we rigged two Neumann U 87 microphones to the engine, and one Neumann KM 184 mic to the exhaust. We set up a Sennheiser Ambeo Soundbar and a Sennheiser SPM 8000 mic to capture the interior, and for the exterior we again deployed two Neumann U 87 mics and a Sennheiser MKH 416 mic. In the spirit of the excellence of German engineering, we were as comprehensive and meticulous as possible, and the results are there in the files.

    Introducing a new sound library where cars collide, rebound, thunder and crash on top of each other, all to create the most exciting sounds possible for your film or gaming projects.     We went to the scrapyard armed with the following microphones: Neumann U 87, Oktava 012, Sennheiser MKH 416, Shure SM57, Shure 52, Electro Voice RE-20, and Sennheiser SPM 8000. They all made it home intact, which is more than can be said for the subject matter of the recordings, because for the purposes of making a sound library that epitomizes metal carnage, the cars got battered beyond belief. They’ll never drive again, but the sounds of their climactic fate are immortalized in this library to enjoy.

  • Car Sound Effects Lada 2104 Play Track 226 sounds included $179

    This is a definitive sound library for the legendary Soviet automobile: the original Lada. The Flysound team procured an old model of this retro series, with a charmingly worse-for-wear engine and a battered exhaust, and set to the task of recording the unique sounds of starting, idling, various engine speeds, acceleration, cruising and braking.

    Externally the microphone set was a Neumann U 87, a Schoeps CMC6/MK4, and a Sennheiser MKH 416. Neumann U 87s were also used for recording the engine and exhaust, and wheel recordings were done by a Sennheiser MKH 416. The car’s interior was captured by a Neumann U 69.

    We cataloged everything from quiet and calm sounds to the loud and crazy! Truly feel the retro atmosphere with our collection of Lada sounds.

    Prepare to be transported back to Soviet times, with the Russian legend on wheels that is the Volga 21. Here in our library, you will find authentic engine sounds, how it starts up, revs, accelerates, how the brakes brake and how the car comes to a thundering halt.

    In terms of microphones, externally we rigged a Neumann U 87, a Schoeps CMC6/MK4, and a Sennheiser MKH 416. Two other Neumann U 87 mics specially captured the engine and exhaust respectively, and wheel recordings were done by a Sennheiser MKH 416. We’ve also captured the sound of the doors, the wipers, gear shifts, and the iconic horn blast, using a Neumann KM 184 microphone for the interior takes.

    FLYSOUND presents the ZIL 494250 GARBAGE TRUCK – a Soviet diesel monster with its imposing garbage container – suitable for any old bulky truck sound design needs. 86 files, 21 takes, its driving, starting, stopping and unique clanking cacophony. All with Neumann U87 mics and other modern sound equipment, giving the beast a twenty-first century sound makeover.

    This time we included an incredible number of foleys for our rubbish truck – we shook it, beat it, drove through varied terrain, captured the clanking of the chains, as well as the hydraulic system, doors, etc.

  • Car Sound Effects Go-Karting Race Track Play Track 39+ sounds included, 76 min mins total $60

    Flysound goes go-karting!

    We recorded a new library of action, with sporty go-karts rigged with 3 Neumann U87s apiece. We raced all around the track, which is located in a huge hangar. We recorded all the key sounds, from idling to high-speed zooming, the sound of petrol chugging, and the idiosyncrasies of the ground hugging one-man mini-monsters. And for sure the squeal of the tyres going around corners is there too – a unique pleasure sound.

    The library, comprising 39 files and 2.07 GB from our 14 different takes, is arranged for usage in work of any complexity.

    We have a bonus track for the library – the atmosphere of the huge empty hangar where the racing took place. We captured it in quadraphonic sound, using 4 Neumann U87s.

    Flysound has taken a legend of the 80s and immortalised it.

    We’re taking about the Chevrolet G20 Beauville V8, which in other words is the Hippy Wagon but it moves and sounds better than its German counterpart. Big grumbling motor action, rhythmic rattling of the parts, and the growl of the engine.

    We’ve recorded this great van (btw, corpos mentis) with our best practices of vehicular capture. The engine has the Neumann U87s under the hood, and the same for the exhaust system, with the Shure SM57 and Electro Voice ND 868 recording too. We have the revs, the drive off, the stopping, and the manoeuvres too.

    This library is specifically coordinated for film, advertising, and gaming projects. All files, totalling 5.26GB and 190 minutes 24 bit/96 kHz, are fully metadated and easy to integrate into your projects. The 5.7L 350 horsepower beast is ready for your project’s ears

  • Car Sound Effects GAZ-24 VOLGA Play Track 153+ sounds included, 283 mins total $179

    The GAZ-24 Volga 1985 is Flysound’s offering to the retro gods, comprising 135 sound files of pure nostalgic brilliance, recorded here in present day audio heaven. We took our superannuated Soviet monster out of retirement, fuelling her up and revving her for one more day of glory on the track.

    Our beloved GAZ-24 is recorded on Neumann U 87 studio mics positioned above the engine, and the interior is captured in quadraphonic surround sound. File size total is 7.5 GB. The library comprises 283 minutes of absolutely clean recording.

    This package is perfect for any project covering the Soviet era that involves cars. This car, the USSR equivalent of a Cadillac or (mildly more modest) Mustang, was an instant classic of the time, and an absolute legend of a nostalgia today. The car has been kept in good condition since the fall of communism, and it has finally been immortalised digitally for resynthesis into period projects. The library also works authentically for some Western European 20th century sounds, as GAZ exported this model to the Benelux countries under the Volga Scaldia brand.

    The library covers the gamut of everything this car is designed to do; starting, taking off, braking, stopping, cruising, turning and manoeuvres, at different speeds and from different microphone positions. The files include new and improved metadata, and this library is suitable for projects of any complexity.

    FLYSOUND presents… The MINI John Cooper Works Turbo Library!

    We’ve taken our big bag of recording tools, rigged them to a very feisty little Mini, and then let rip on the racing track. The result is a profusion of audio brilliance that sits ready for any project incorporating the sound of driving with attitude.

    The mics comprised Neumann U87s, Sennheiser MKH 416, The Amethyst, and Electro-Voice ND 868. The recording system was our Sound Devices 788T and Aaton Cantar X2. For the interior, we deployed a quadraphonic sound recording set up. Great things come in small packages, and we captured the mighty Mini tearing up the track in a high-spirited, frisky manner, with all her roaring, rumbling, skidding and zooming sounds, there in the versatile cut.     We consider this one of Flysound’s best ever recordings. We have tweaked our engine recording technology and now we capture the inner workings on 2 Neumann U87 studio microphones. The sound motif has plenty of heavy, low, powerful presence.

    Flysound presents: VEHICLE PACK. Four individual sound libraries, of three cars and a bike. First, there is the BMW X5, then the Mini Cooper, then a Land Rover, and on to two wheels, Ducati.     This compilation can serve as a versatile and harmonious soundscape for the road action in your project, whatever the scale of traffic, action, and nuanced context of your scenes and sequences, and taken one by one, the cars and bike libraries themselves are laid out to showcase any individual vehicle audio scenario in deep focus.     The BMW X5M, a 750 horsepower highly-tuned SUV which is sporty and at the same time spacious, sturdy, safe and cosy for family moments; we’ve recorded it across all its moods.

    The Mini Cooper, a souped up city car. Very nippy and youthful, this style icon was a pleasure to record in all its fabulousness.

    The Land Rover Defender, a 4×4 diesel beast that is rugged and country-style, workmanlike, and at the same time elegant and very respectable.

    The Ducati Scrambler, the cafe racer model. It represents freedom on two wheels, and we’ve captured the sounds to match, both on the open road and in an autodrome.

    All the libraries have a huge variety of sounds, interior, exterior, and foley content. We have paid attention to capture not only the vrooming, roaring, careening and chugging of these vehicles, but also the necessary everyday actions of the machinery, such as the closing of doors, fastening of seatbelts, clicking of levers and squeaking of seats.
