The Mossberg 590 Shockwave is a modern take on the traditional pump action shotgun. Although the Mossberg 590 Shockwave carries the hallmarks of the common field and game variants of shotguns, it is much smaller with a 14” barrel, faster action, and is lighter in weight. The Mossberg 590 Shockwave can hold up to 6 rounds which lends to a dynamic firing experience.

After my friend let me in on recording his CZ Scorpion, he also had a Mossberg Shockwave12 Gauge just hanging out. Just like free pizza, I could not help myself from asking about the 590 since everything was still setup! I used the same dual Schoeps and Soundfield setup I had previous with the CZ Scorpion. Again, one thing to note is the microphones were not able to fit in the same space.
