FA0818 CZ Scorpion Pistol Dry Mini Library

If you need foley coverage for a CZ Scorpion Pistol, your search is over. FA0818 CZ Scorpion Pistol Dry Mini provides over 150 stereo and 150 ambisonic sounds, including chambering, safety operation, magazine insertion, and more. All sounds were captured at 96kHz/24-bit.

Every library has a story. While visiting a friend, he showed me his new CZ Scorpion. I was familiar with CZ but not this particular firearm, and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to capture some dry sounds. Fortunately, my friend was more than happy to help.

I happened to have both my Schoeps and SoundField rigs with me, so I recorded with both systems. Because the microphones couldn’t occupy the exact same position, the resulting stereo and ambisonic perspectives differ.

The CZ Scorpion is an interesting firearm. While its appearance resembles an assault rifle, the EVO 3 S1 is legally classified as a pistol by the ATF. CZ-USA states that attaching a stock or stock-like device would constitute manufacturing a short-barreled rifle requiring ATF registration under current federal law and policy.
